hey what to tell about this song ya. i llove every bit of this song very much. i mainly love the singer of this song, who is the great hariharan, the one and only legend in singing according to me. everthing 4 this song has been setuot well. after hearing the lyrics of this song, i really became a very big fan of thaamarai, she is too a legend. and i am also happy with the vijay awards because they presented each and everyone behind the hardwork of the song and the film. and surya has also well romanced with sameera reddy in this song. the main reason for me to like this song was surya. he plays different in each and every film he acts he is in fact awsome. i love his hole family including shivakumar for his wonderful speeches,jothika, in fact i liked surya only when he started to romance with jothika. and obviously i like thiya because she was born to my favourities.and i also like karthik in his first film PARUTHIVEERAN. and i am also awaiting for his next film AYIRATHIL ORUVAN. WHICH IS GOING TO BE A SUPERHIT DHAMAKA.and why i tried to tell all this is that i like this song for all the above reason. and i also like all the songs in all surya and harris jayaraj pairup films. and alsolike gautham menan also. the cameraman of this film is also awsome.

hai friends i am sarmila again After hearing this song “Nenjukkul peythidum maamazhai” rom Vaaranam Aayiram, I can’t stay idle without saying something about this song.
First of all I will tell about Harris Jeyaraj’s music right from the beginning. So many music director’s are there who are giving importance to tunes only and not to lovably present a song. But truly telling, Harris Jeyaraj knows very well it’s important too to present a song very lovable rather than composing different different tunes. Though it is a old tune, the way of presentation, composition leads to the sweet taste of a song.
In his composition, right from his first movie “Minnale”, he maintained a lovely background for his songs. The background (Rhythm) is the most important parameter for a song to be heard lovingly. Especially, his rhythm I have never seen in any of the music directors’ song, even ARRahmaan’s. Here understand correctly, I am not depreciating ARRahmaan as I’m one of his fans. He has a different rhythm. But now I’m talking about Harris Jeyaraaj’s rhythm. This thing I have been observing from his mega hittest song “Uyirin uyire” from Kakha kakha.
Nowadays nobody can give a new tune which even partially had not been composed earlier. Already everything had been composed, now taking a single single bits from every music and composing as a super song is only possible thing.
Maestero Ilayaraaja said in one interview that “ there are only seven swarangal sa, ri, ga, ma, pa, dha, ni… in the universe. We are just change the sequences for composing a music. Nobody can invent a new swaram. So the tunes or BGMs or swarams or rhythms may seem to be older or already composed. But it should be very catchy and lovable as everybody loves it only by means of the composition and the way of presentation”.
Coming to Harris Jeyaraj’s composition of songs, so many songs might have old tunes but not bothering about that, the songs were very very very nice to hear b’cas of his way of composing the song. He always keeps up by mixing a peculiar background sound and also using different keyboard sounds.
In “Minnale”, he composed more than five songs among which, the song “ Iru vizhi unadhu imaigalum unadhu”. Vaseegara was very lovely and also commercially hit. Azhagiya theeye song is also very nice to hear over it’s a beat song.
From that movie he’s maintaining the same lovable background for the Director Gowtham Vasudev Menon specially. The another Director who was loving the same type of rhythm but without suspense and thrill, was Jeeva for whom it was a very tragedy about his death. In his movies, the only dominating feeling is ‘jolly’ ‘youthful’’peppy’ any how we can tell. The songs he extracted from Harris Jeyaraj also having the same feeling in all of his three movie ‘12B, Ullam Ketkume, Unnale unnale’ also in Dhaam dhoom, the later is not heartly lovable b’cas of the death of Jeeva.
Poovey vaai pesum podhu – a greatest melody
Oru paarvai paar – in this song all of the above said
jolly feelings avail
Yengeyo pogindra megam
& Mutham mutham muthamaa – these are unforgettable compositions.
Yennai pandhaada pirandhavale
from ullam ketkume – is a very sweet song of the same lovable rhythm
June pona july kaatre – though being a commercial song it was very sweet.
Vaigaasi nilave – very catchy tune and excel. Composition
Mudhal naal indru – youthful, joyful tune
Ilamai ullasam – “ “
Mudhan mudhalaaga – lovely
The same font is available in the song “Anbe yen anbe” from Dhaam dhoom. Here after we can’t expect that kind of songs as they were very precious selections of Jeeva.
Coming to Gowtham’s movie,
Uyirin uyire – I haven’t ever heard a fast song with fast beats and very slow tune with very clear words (lyrics-hatts of Mrs Thamarai) before. I’ve never heard. From this song he was a ‘Guruvai minjiya sishyan’.
Yennai konjam maatri, Ondra renda aasaigal and specially ‘ Oru ooril azhage’ they are very smart composition.
In Vettaiaadu vilayaadu, even for a hero’s introduction song karka karka having very catchy beats.
Vennilave velli velli nilave – a strong melody with fast beats.
Uyirile yenadhu uyirile – fantastic melody.
In Pachai kili muthucharam, though an unexpected script from the Director Gowtham, the songs ‘Unakkul naane’, ‘Kaadhal konjam kaatru konjam’ are very lovable songs.
Same way in ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, the song ‘Nenjukkul peythidum maamazhai’ has fulfilled my expectation from Harris music with Gowtham. Also the other songs ‘ Mun dhinam paarthene’ and all.
Rather than appreciating the creator Harris Jeyaraaj, I appreciate Gowtham for selecting this much lovable song. These selection sense will be there only for the persons who is a readily lover of music without bothering about commercial expectations.
Because, the same music director had already been misused by some directors for commercial hit songs without considering the music lovers’ expectations. E.g kalyaanandhan kattikitu odi polama, ukkadathu pappadame,kokku meena thingumaa illainna meenu kokka thingumaa, etc….
But AR Rahmaan never did this kind of things. Even though for a worst script, he composed the songs in his own style, without spoiling his originality. He never bother about the director’s masala expectations. So we expect the same way from you.
On the behalf of music lovers, I request and beg Harris Jeyaraaj, not to accept those kind of movies, which do not have a special musical sensitivity. Because the lovers of music are expecting more from you and not to spoil your originality by composing ‘kuthu’ songs for such masala movies. Search creators like Jeeva, Gowtham, Selvaraghavan,…., to let your music to live and get loved for a long time.
